Since the Cralusso Surf used in retented floating, this is why by the slowly led or stopped float there will be a major difference in speed between the water passing by and the fitting.

This results in, that the current pushes up the lead from beneath the river-float, so if you put the 10 grs weight on it, it works as if only 6 grs pull down.

This is why the Cralusso has to be overweighted and the load capacity of the body can be 10-100%.(Please see the table)
